Lowell Women's Week is March 1-8!
"For twenty years, Lowell Women's Week has celebrated women in our community of Lowell, Massachusetts - from the women who have come before us to the women of today.
In conjunction with International Women’s Day, this year’s theme is Equality for Women is Progress for All. We encourage you to celebrate our 20th anniversary and join us for the week’s many free public events on this theme. Events take place at locations throughout the city and recognize women’s achievements, struggles, and extraordinary contributions to our community. Enjoy performing arts, historical explorations, community gatherings, skills workshops, lectures, and more."

Check out their event list for more information.  And here is COOL's own

WinterFest Postponed!

The papers have  confirmed what our DPW already knew!  Lowell is currently the second snowiest city in the country!

Much as we believe in Lowla's motto "don't hibernate, celebrate," we think you would have a hard time celebrating in the frigid temperatures predicted for this weekend.  Coupled with the City's need to focus on safety by clearing roads and sidewalks of snow, we have made the decision to postpone WinterFest.

Please join us during the new dates, March 13-14, when we can celebrate WinterFest by saying bye-bye to winter!
